We will meet once a month on Zoom, the 2nd Wed at 8:00pm. We respect each other and respect confidentiality. We create a safe space to share. We also like to laugh and have fun at times. We don't talk over each other and we do our very best to listen deeply. Everyone's story is important and deep listening is why we're here. Only share when/if you're ready to.
Joining this group does not necessarily mean you are a "Highly Sensitive Person" or HSP. It ju means you have been called oversensitive or consider yourself sensitive for whatever reason. I will be the facilitator at first, willing to allow others to co-facilitate later on if they wish to do so. I have facilitated DBSA support group meetings for many years, worked as a peer support specialist, and attended the University of Louisville for a degree in social work. I am also a very sensitive person, just ask my mom.
At email@example.com so I know how many people are coming.
We will probably have topics such as "responding to criticism" and "making decisions," etc. If you have any questions or suggestions, please call or email me using the above contact methods. This is a new idea, and you may be familliar with the acronym HSP, or you may not be. Again, this is not an official group for HSPs or anyone specific, just whoever considers themselves sensitive and who would like to meet other sensitive people and give and receive support.
